Originally developed for outdoor activities, especially in the mountains, this system consists of combining 3 layers of textile to adapt to all weather conditions, summer and winter. You will not be too hot or too cold, regardless of the intensity of your physical activity. The first layer close to the body (e.g. t-shirt, polo, baselayer, jersey) allows to create heat in winter while remaining sufficiently light and breathable for summer if worn alone. The second layer (e.g. sweat, fleece, softshell) can increase the heat in winter or cover you at the end of the day in summer. The 3rd layer (e.g. technical jacket) allows you to isolate your body from the outside climatic conditions (wind, cold, rain, snow) and to maintain an optimal temperature and comfort in all situations.
Cotton is more comfortable, but is little breathable and dries slowly in case of perspiration. Conversely, polyester is less comfortable to wear, but effectively wicks away perspiration and dries quickly in case of sweating.
